Absence For Religious Beliefs
Please be reminded that this year Rosh Hashanah occurs on September 25, 2014 (Classes in Session) and Yom Kippur occurs on October 4, 2014 (Saturday). (Jewish Holidays start at sundown the evening before the listed Holiday.) Students of Jewish faith may be observing these religious holidays.
Remember that under existing State law we are required to excuse, without penalty, individual students absent from class because of religious beliefs, and to provide equivalent opportunity to students to make up study or work requirements missed because of such absences.
